THE WAY OF THE CROSS

The devotion known as the Way of the Cross adapts a custom of offering prayers at places in Jerusalem traditionally associated with our Lord’s passion and death.

The Way of the Cross is appropriate both as a public service and as a private devotion. We encourage you to use this booklet as a vehicle for personal reflection during Holy Week.

For those with children, or for whom devotion is helped by a creative outlet, we recommend these coloring pages reflecting the stations of the cross.

For those who find devotion aided by music, you may find this recording of Samuel Barber’s The Crucifixion as performed by Leontyne Price a reflective place to begin your contemplative practice.
